According to a January 2012 Gallup Poll, about half the voters in the country identify themselves as being Independents, making them the most powerful political group in the country as far as determining the winners in the upcoming November elections. But being the largest group of voters doesn’t mean they will necessarily elect the candidates that will represent their interests. Witness the November 2010 elections, when Blue State Wisconsin elected a Tea Party candidate, Scott Walker, for governor only to later find that he would enact harsh anti-union laws, which led to a massive popular uprising demanding his recall.
The November elections are far too important for Independents to be conned into making the same mistakes they did in 2010. It would be great if voters could know what candidates would do once elected before they actually cast their ballots.
My book does exactly that, by introducing a revolutionary voting method (for Independents) to help ensure the candidates people vote for will represent their needs once they are elected.
If enough Independents read the book and act on its recommendations, the country could be transformed from one that favors the wealthy and special interest groups represented by PACs (the 1%) into one that is for the masses. The new voting method has the added advantage of effectively removing money from politics, thereby leveling the playing field.
